As I sit in the library in the children’s book section I am reminded of how segregated history still is. It’s the consistent reminder that people treat history separate when it comes to color. What people forget that there is no history without black history. If you take away blackness out of the history books nothing that we have today would exists; at least not in America. So with that being said I am not the least I am not the last. I am of great value. I will not fall in to stereotypes or give into people’s foolishness. Why? Because I am black and I’m proud

Wait on your Boaz and make sure he respects Yoaz….

KJV really though
I am going to try not call people mean names lol…. I’m spitting frustration out.. I may have mispelled some stuff
So I was doing this study on translations and versions and remembered what someone had said about modern translations… I actually heard more than one person make mention of it….. I googled missing words in modern versions and came to this website that gave a list of differences. (and breathe). It made mention of how the KJV is the best translation..???( Huh it’s not even a translation lol) and that there are 65000 words that have been removed from modern translation(obviously since no one actually speaks Elizabethan English or Shakespearean). He did not stop there he went on to mention that NIV was of Satan lol…. That’s funny…… He even entitled the article or whatever it was (it’s obvious it’s not scholarly lol) “The Damnable New International Version” 0_o His defense was weak he claimed that it attacks Jesus Deity and that it created the Lordship Salvation ….. I have to quote one of the differences….this one is really strange..lol.
“The NIV has produced an generation of Lordship Salvationists who foolishly believe that a person cannot be saved without making Jesus Lord. Here’s Romans 10:9 from the King James Bible, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.“ Now here’s Romans 10:9 from the perverted NIV… “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” The Bible never requires us to make Jesus our “Lord” to be saved, only trust Him as our Savior (John 14:6)”.
What in the world hahaha I can’t…. If Jesus is not made Lord of your life than who is He???? This happens a lot among people who read the KJV literally even before I started reading better versions and Translations the Holy Spirit opened my eyes and caused me to study from a young age….. Through that I found that you cannot take every word literally to mean what is says which becomes tricky when trying to deliver a message in front of people who actually study the scripture and not just read…..
My favorite is when he got his panties in a bunch because it does not say washed in the blood but instead better translations and versions that read loosed, cleansed, freed, and/or released. Those later words actually have so much power in them….ok I am done kinda …..
The KJV is nice and pretty. I learned and quoted from it since I was a child it’s very poetic but terrible for studying. If you have hours upon hours to study Greek and Hebrew while reading the KJV go ahead it’s probably the only way that you will fully understand it….. Or you can read something that has been more closely interpreted to the originally… I promise you if you have a study bible and you use your KJV then grabbed a modern version your study notes will read the same thing as the modern version…… Yes it is true the Holy Spirit will help you but He has also allowed wise men study and help believers to gain a better understanding of God’s Word…It’s important that we use what has been given………. ps Paul did not read nor write the KJV lol( someone told me that once lol)…. Oh and also you cannot use revelations to say that the bible was rewritten and changed and those who do so are going to burn because if that be the case those who read and wrote the the KJV would be on their way to because it’s not a translation it’s a version……. Smh…… ok I’m done for real I feel better just had to write this is not even everything that was on my mind about this….
